Peter joined the Independent Bar in 2023 after 10 years as a solicitor, first at Minter Ellison and then Cowell Clarke Lawyers. He accepts briefs in most areas of civil, commercial and administrative law.

Peter has been recognised as one of the leading employment and WHS barristers in South Australia by Doyle’s Guide. He has also been recognised on the Best Lawyers list for Labour Law and Occupational Health and Safety Law. He has a particular interest in employment, industrial relations and work-related disputes including wrongful termination and unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying, wage theft and underpayment issues, interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements, workers compensation and personal injury, coronial inquests and WHS investigations, disciplinary and regulatory processes, restraint of trade, and breaches of director and employment duties.

Over 2017/18 Peter was appointed as Solicitor Assisting the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption in the Maladministration Investigation into the Oakden Older Persons Mental Health Service. In 2022, he also assisted the ICAC with its evaluation of the investigation and disciplinary practices of a government agency.

Peter studied negotiation and dispute resolution at Harvard Law School in Massachusetts, USA and at Pepperdine University in California, USA. He was a fellow of the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution and has a Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution from the US.
